Tire sizing has changed over the time and/or may be different depending on where you live. While tire sizes by inch (ie: 3.25 X 3.50 X 17) used to be the standard, most tires today are sold and marketed with newer designations such as 120/70ZR17. They have replaced height X width with height, and height to width ratio. If you have the old sizing standards or an alpha designation, this chart may be useful in determining the modern equivalent for the tire size you need. | Front tire size conversion chart | | Rear tire size conversion chart | | Metric | Alpha | Inch | | Metric | Alpha | Inch | | 80/90 | MH90 | 2.50 to 2.75 | | 110/90 | MP85 | 4.00 to 4.75 | | 90/90 | MJ90 | 2.75 to 3.00 | | 120/90 | MR90 | 4.50 to 4.75 | | 100/90 | MM90 | 3.25 to 3.50 | | 130/90 | MT90 | 5.00 to 5.10 | | 110/90 | MN90 | 3.75 to 4.00 | | 140/90 | MU85/MU90 | 5.50 to 6.00 | | 120/90 | MR90 | 4.25 to 4.50 | | 150/80 | MV85 | 6.00 to 6.25 | | 130/90 | MT90 | 5.00 to 5.10 | | 150/90 | MV85 | 6.00 to 6.25 |
